Jarmony is a game of strategy in which players lay down scales, chords and cadences in accordance with the rules of harmony. The ingeniously designed, innovative card game for 2 to 4 people is an exciting and fun means of complementing the theory of harmony and learning (more) about the basics of jazz. It can be played by musicians of all levels, from age 12. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to play and is an excellent educational, classroom tool. Both beginners and professionals will never tire of the game – just like jazz! Jarmony was published on the occasion of the Meeting of the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ) and the International Conference on Music Performance Analysis (ICOMPA) at the Music Faculty of Lucerne University.
